Collier County Democratic Club (CCDC) February Meeting

February 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EST

Nanette Rivera and Gene Wordehoff will speak about the importance of converting Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP) to Advanced Wastewater Treatment facilities (AWT). Watershed oxygen levels have dropped and nutrient pollution has increased creating a “dead zone”. Come learn about Collier County water quality and the impact it has on aquatic life and our well being.

Nanette Rivera served was appointed to the board of the Big Cypress Basin by the Governor and currently is a Board Member of the Conservancy of SW Florida.

Eugene Wordehoff is a member of the Collier Citizen’s Council which focuses on Growth Management, housing affordability and water quality. He was elected to The Marco Island Civic Association Board of Directors in 2022 and is a member of the Marco Island Waterways Advisory Committee.
