Despite all that we lost here in Florida, we do have a cause to celebrate. Last night Catherine Cortez Mastro was declared the winner of the Nevada Senate race! Her win gave Democrats 50 seats in the upper house of Congress!!!
We have one final chance to win an extra seat in the US Senate. Senator Rev. Raphael Warnock of Georgia will be in a runoff on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. We must help him win this race! As Chair of Region 12 of the Democratic Women’s Club of Florida, I am asking you to continue working to effect change.
For members who enjoy texting, here is the LINK to get you started texting for Senator Warnock. Texting is every Tuesday night from 6:00 – 8:00 pm now through November 29th.
At Tuesday’s meeting, we will be sending letters out to voters in Georgia asking them to go vote on December 6. We will have supplies available.
Additionally, my ask is for you to bring your checkbooks to Tuesday’s meeting of the DWC Marco. We are going to bundle checks across Region 12 to get Sen. Warnock re-elected! I have already collected over $300 from the Region’s other clubs.
So, dry your tears and start TODAY! Posting, complaining, and joining organizations aren’t enough. Put your $ and time behind your words!
