Our featured speaker will be Whitney Strohmayr, Community Education Advocate for The Shelter for Abused Women & Children. The Shelter’s mission is to lead and collaborate with the community to prevent, protect and prevail over domestic violence and human trafficking through advocacy, empowerment and social change.
PLUS AT OUR MEETING
- Our new volunteer coordinator, Vickie McCormick, will review the various volunteer options available. She will tell you what they are and, more importantly, what they are not (like cold calling) and you will be able to sign up for the activities that interest you the most.
- Deb Henry will introduce us to Little Pink Houses and the work they do supporting women with breast cancer. You won’t want to miss what is happening with this organization in June on our own Marco Island!
- Food Drive: We will be collecting food for Marco’s Our Daily Bread Food Pantry. This month’s request is for 15-ounce cans of Chef Boyardee Ravioli, any brand of beef stew or chili. Please bring your donations to the meeting for collection.
